Anesthesia time starts when you begin preparing the patient for anesthesia and ends when you're no longer in personal attendance, usually at handoff in recovery. If care was interrupted, only the time you were actually providing care counts. Rounding rules depend on the payer, so check your contracts. More in our time units guide.
