For billing owners

How to find a buyer for your medical billing company

There are more buyers for small billing companies than most owners think. The trick is finding the right one quietly.

Where buyers come from

  • Specialist buyers in your clients' specialty, who value a focused book
  • Larger billing companies growing by acquisition
  • Peers you know from conferences or associations
  • Your own staff, if someone wants to take over
  • Business brokers, who bring a list of buyers for a fee

Keep it quiet

Share your name and client list only after a non-disclosure agreement. Start with a short summary that doesn't name clients.

Talk to more than one

Even if you have a favorite, a second conversation tells you whether the first offer is fair.

See who buys medical billing companies, or email partners@titraterevenue.com if you bill for anesthesia groups.

This is general information, not legal, tax or valuation advice. Talk to your own lawyer and accountant before you sell.

Our promise to sellers

How we'll treat you and your clients

  • We sign an NDA before you share client names or numbers.
  • Your clients hear about it from you and us together, after signing. Never before.
  • Every term, including how and when you're paid, is written out in plain English before you sign.
  • Your clients' fees don't go up for at least 12 months after the handover.
  • If you're selling only your anesthesia accounts, we won't approach your other clients. We'll put that in writing.
  • If we're not the right buyer, we'll tell you quickly and point you somewhere better if we can.
