Going independent
Starting your own CRNA group
27 states let CRNAs practise without physician supervision. We help you get the business side set up so you can focus on anesthesia.
The path
Five steps from idea to first paid case
Every group is different, and some steps need a lawyer or accountant. Here is the usual order.
Set up the company
Choose your business structure with a healthcare lawyer and accountant. We can introduce you to people who know anesthesia.
Get your group numbers
A group NPI, tax ID and bank account in the group's name, so payments go straight to you.
Enroll with payers
Medicare, Medicaid and commercial plans. Enrollment often takes a few months, so we start it early and track every application.
Sign facility contracts
Agreements with surgery centres, offices and hospitals. We help you understand how each one will bill.
Bill from day one
Billing set up before your first case, with a scorecard from your first month.
Who this is for
CRNAs ready to work for themselves
Whether you are leaving a hospital job, already working 1099, or joining colleagues to form a group, the paperwork is the same and we know it well.
Common questions we help with
- How long will payer enrollment take, and how do we cover the gap?
- How do Medicare and commercial plans pay independent CRNAs?
- What should we check in a facility contract before signing?
- How much admin will billing really take?
