Billing for 1099 and independent CRNAs

When you go independent, you either bill for your own work or someone else bills for you. Either way, you should know what's being collected.

Two common setups

You bill for yourself. You enroll with payers, the claims go out under your name or your company's, and the payments come to you. This usually pays more but means you need billing done well.

The facility or group bills. You're paid a rate, and they bill payers for your services, usually through reassignment. Simpler for you, but you should understand what's being billed in your name.

How we help

  • Set up your enrollments if you're billing yourself
  • Bill and follow up on your cases
  • Help you understand what a facility collects for your work, so you can negotiate
