The checklist
- Who bills. You, the facility, or a mix? In whose name?
- Exclusivity. Are you the only anesthesia provider? Can the facility bring in others?
- Coverage. Which days, which rooms, what hours, and what happens when cases run late?
- Stipend. If there is one, how is it calculated and when is it reviewed?
- Equipment and drugs. Who supplies, maintains and pays for them?
- Insurance. Required malpractice limits.
- Term and renewal. How long, and does it renew automatically?
- Termination. How much notice, and for what reasons?
- Non-solicitation. Can either side hire the other's staff?
- Data. Who owns anesthesia records and billing data?
